Jet’s Rehab Rescue, Inc., is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was created to provide assistance to shelters and rescues in western and central New York. We take in dogs with behavior challenges that are considered unadoptable without additional support. We provide the necessary behavior rehabilitation and training, then find the dogs their perfect forever homes. We save the shelters and rescues considerable time and resources while saving the lives of truly deserving dogs.
We work with Animal Behavior Specialists, Inc., whose exceptional team is led by Karlene Bonnes, a Cornell University educated behaviorist. In collaboration with Animal Behavior Specialists, we ensure dogs receive the best possible support and care. We also provide follow-up training for the dogs and their new families, to ensure a happy ever after!
If you represent a shelter/rescue in western or central New York and are interested in having us conduct an initial evaluation of a dog to see if we can help, please contact us.
Jet (pictured) was a black lab/German shepherd mix dog, who was adopted from a shelter when he was 7 1/2 years old by our rescue’s founder. For 7 more amazing years he shared love, cuddles, walks, kisses, laughs, play, and yes…some attitude! He was a true character, a beloved family member, and a very special soul.
This rescue is named in his honor and memory.

Project M.E.O.W is a special initiative of JRR. We provide foster homes with experienced caregivers to support newborn kittens until they are ready for adoption. Then, we find them their purrfect forever homes!
“We make every kitten that we take in a winner with excellent care, lots of love, and a Happy Ever After!”
