MEET PINTO! Jet’s Rehab Rescue is pleased to be partnering again with Long Island based animal welfare group, Pioneers For Animal Welfare Society, Inc. (PAWS). Together, our rescues are committed to finding this very special pup the perfect forever home.
This adorable guy was found as a stray on Long Island in October of 2017. He ended up at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter (TOHAS) and has been waiting for a home ever since. He had great care at the shelter, and has a huge following of loving fans, but some of his behavior issues made it challenging to find him a home.
That’s when PAWS stepped in and pulled sweet Pinto and took him into their animal care program. Since then, Pinto has been working with an experienced behaviorist to provide the structure and care he needs. Now, our handsome Pinto Bean is ready to find his forever home!
Pinto is a 60 pound, 7 year-old pitty mix with the heart of a puppy. Pinto knows all basic commands, sit, stay, come, down, leave it, heel, and no jump. He is very playful, loves to run, and walks nicely on a leash. He does need a little time to get to know new people and should be the only pet in an adult-only home. Pinto needs a family who understands that it has been years since he has lived in a home and requires some time to adjust.
If you are interested in Pinto, please contact Pioneers For Animal Welfare Society at: adoptions@paws-li.org, OR (631) 306 4616, as they are handling all inquiries. An adopter in the Rochester, NY area is preferred.
