Say hello to the incredibly handsome John (or Big John as he is affectionately called). Look at THAT FACE! He’s a stunner!
We are referring to John’s breed as NewfoundLAB, since he looks like a Labrador, but is the size of a Newfoundland. Weighing in at around 120 lbs, he’s a big boy!!
John is just under 2 years old and is playful, active, and affectionate. He knows many commands including sit, down, drop-it, and shake. He will be learning even more including stay, come, heel, leave it, and no jump.
John really likes people (including children) but since he wasn’t socialized early on, he is currently dog selective. We are working on his socialization skills with other dogs, but he will need to meet any dogs in a household to make sure they get along. He has some good doggie friends, so chances are, they’ll be best friends in no time.
John has also been diagnosed with a ruptured cruciate ligament. He has been in consultations with doctors and Jet’s Rehab Rescue is committed to following up with any necessary treatment, including providing funds to cover the cost. This should not cause any ongoing issues for John.
If you are looking for a big, fun, sweet pup then John is your guy!
