Beautiful Layla is ready to find her forever home, so she can live happily ever after! Layla is a little over a year old and is approximately 65 lbs. She is a sweet, playful, and intelligent girl with lots of energy. She is housebroken and knows all the basic commands (sit, stay, come, down, heel, leave it, no jump). She responds very well to commands, as she is eager to please. She even takes corrections well from other dogs! Layla is crate trained, although she can be a bit of an escape artist. An indestructible crate or a few zip ties easily solves the problem! She can play a little rough, so homes with small animals are not a good idea. Layla will do well in a home with people who are structured and dog savvy. Children over 13 years old are preferred. She can take a few minutes to warm up at first, but once she does, she’ll be your very best friend! If you are looking for a fun, loyal dog to have adventures with, Layla is your gal!
Layla is supported by a collaboration of three animal rescues: Pioneers for Animal Welfare Society, Ready For Rescue, and Jet’s Rehab Rescue.
Pioneers for Animal Welfare Society (PAWS Long Island) will be responding to inquiries. They require that potential adopters own their home and have a fully fenced yard.
**Only inquiries from Rochester and Long Island can be considered, as those are the areas that the rescues are located. This is necessary for volunteers to complete home visits, follow-up, etc.**
